The Northbrook Park District’s Techny Prairie Activity Center (TPAC) successfully met the stringent criteria set by UL Solutions and achieved the UL Verified Ventilation and Filtration Mark, the first of its kind to measure the efficacy of ventilation and filtration systems in removing aerosols from enclosed spaces. TPAC is the first parks and recreation facility to undergo an assessment and receive this verification from UL Solutions.
In honor of Earth Month, the Northbrook Park District’s Techny Prairie Activity Center is waiving enrollment and membership fees for new members from April 23 through April 30. Additionally, current TPAC members ages 15 and up can bring in a guest for free all week. (All guests under 18 must have a waiver signed by a legal guardian).
“From flexibility to strength to stress management, the best thing you can do for yourself is find an exercise program you enjoy,” Fitness Supervisor Julie Lappas said. “The more joy and happiness you find in movement and health, the more likely you are to stay with it.” There is no better place to do so than the Northbrook Park District’s state-of-the-art Techny Prairie Activity Center (TPAC), which offers tons of options for people of all ages and fitness levels. There is no better time to join than January, when new members can take advantage of a $0 enrollment fee special.
