Pickleball at Techny Prairie Activity Center

Pickleball is a newer sport that combines elements from badminton, tennis and wiffleball. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to a tennis net but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a hard paddle and a polymer smaller version of a wiffleball. Drop-in with your paddle during select times and enjoy the game! We also offer outdoor courts at a few of our parks where patrons are encouraged to drop in and play.

New TPAC Private Pickleball Court Rental Information

To guarantee the availability of an indoor court, we recommend you rent a court. The fee is $25/hour per court for residents and $32/hour per court for non-residents. There is a $10 discount to TPAC members.

Rental times are limited to Monday- Friday 11am-1pm but be on the lookout for more times to be added in the future.

Open Gym Pickleball Information

The new Techny Prairie Activity Center has four indoor pickleball courts lined in the gym for open gym, private lessons, classes, leagues, and more!

Members (No Charge) and non-members (Resident $6/Non-resident $8)

One-hour 30-minute time slots are available throughout the day for Pickleball open gym. The pickleball open gym schedule can be found below, offerings are subject to change.

Private Pickleball Lessons
