12 Days of Fitness Begins December 4

Techny Prairie Activity Center will offer the “12 Days of Fitness” challenge in December, which will give members a chance to try out a variety of exercises and win prizes. The challenge begins Monday, December 4 and ends Friday, December 15. Daily exercises will be posted throughout the Fitness Center, with options for beginners and advanced levels.

$0 Enrollment Fee Offer in September at Techny Prairie Activity Center

The Northbrook Park District is offering a zero enrollment fee special in September for new members at Techny Prairie Activity Center. Typically, enrollment fees range from $75 for adults ages 18 and up, and $45 for seniors and youths. Add-on memberships typically require a $35 enrollment fee, which also will be waived in September.

Julie’s philosophy is all about helping people find joy in exercising and moving their bodies. “If people are not doing things that are enjoyable, they are not sticking with it,” she said. Julie has taught for a variety of gyms, park districts and large commercial clubs — everything from Body Pump to Cycle and Basic Yoga. She started her new role with the Northbrook Park District in May.
